DERAILLEUR

With the six speed derauiller you are not limited to the speed of the electric motor, you can speed down the road as fast you can in high gear! You get the best of both worlds! Exercise and electric assist.

A True Story of the 441 Folding Bike
When I first got my Liberty 441 Folding Bike, I took the box inside and got ready for the assembly process in the center of the living room. My wife, suspiciously watching out of the corner of her eye. She had seen other living room projects gone bad, but like usual I was confident of my ability to take care fo things and not make too much of a mess! (My living room projects has caused her to NOT push for new carpet any time too soon, as there are a number of un-removable stains from some of my past performances).

The first thing I noticed was how small (35" x 15" x 30") and how light the box was! Even with all the packing it weighed less than 60 lbs. I took the straps off, openedd the box, and WOW! The sliver color just gleamed at me! This was a sharp bike to look at. As a normal guy, I quickly put the manual aside, and relied on that male intuitive mechanical genius that has made us famous. This time, my wife was impressed. In 30 seconds I had the bike out of the carton, unfolded the frame and the handlebars and set up on its kickstand! The only thing remaining was to screw the pedals in, which took getting a small adjustable wrench and another 30 seconds. My wife was impressed! No grease spots, no mess, and I even put the packing back in the box and took it out to the porch!

I just admired it while I did the initial charge overnight, and the next day took it for its first test drive. I was suprised at the torque that lightweight Ni-MH battery put out on the power assist. Later, I let Brandon, my friend's 14 year old 175 lbs boy take it for a test drive. His first comment was, "WOW! That's got a lot of torque."

This is a bike that many people have commented on. It can go with you anywhere in the trunk of your car, in your sport airplane as transportation from the small airport, to and from classes, and can fit in your closet back home.
